Buckeye
There is a nice national forest campground at Buckeye a few miles west of town. The Forest Service campgrounds are in the process of getting a new water system installed. The reservation process can be done by www.reserveUSA.com. Reservations are not being taken until the construction project is done. Craigs campground is the only one open now April 2009 The others in the Twin Lakes area will open May 15th. Along 395 near the Walker River we have two campgrounds Chris Flat and Bootlegopening on May 8th. Buckeye campgroung, near the hot spring will open on May 8th.
